About Us
Our Mission
Craftsman Charm exists because we couldn’t find the Craftsman home resource we wanted to read. Too many sites rehash the same generic advice without any real depth or hands-on understanding of what makes these homes special — and what makes working on them different from working on any other house. So we built what we wished existed: well-researched content that respects both the history of Craftsman design and the practical realities of maintaining, restoring, and living in these homes today.
What We Cover
Our writers and contributors bring genuine expertise in Arts and Crafts architecture, period-appropriate materials, and the specific challenges that come with owning an older home. We write comprehensive guides, material comparisons, and practical how-to content. Whether you’re trying to match original hardware, choose the right tile for a period bathroom, or understand why your quarter-sawn oak trim looks the way it does, we cover it with accuracy, detail, and respect for the craft.
Editorial Standards
Every piece goes through editorial review for accuracy and practical value. We update articles when new products, sources, or techniques become available — because a restoration guide pointing you to a tile manufacturer that went out of business two years ago isn’t helping anyone. If we get something wrong, we fix it.
